Plenty·Legal

Terms & Conditions

Effective · 8 July 2026 Applies to · the Plenty app

These terms are an agreement between you and the independent developer who operates Plenty, based in India (“Plenty”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Plenty app, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

How we handle your data is covered by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

01The service

Plenty is a personal expense tracker. You log expenses by typing, speaking, or photographing receipts; Plenty uses artificial intelligence (AI) to turn those inputs into structured expense records, tracks recurring subscriptions you tell it about, and shows you summaries and short observations about your own spending.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use Plenty.

02Your account

You sign in with a Google account (or, where available, an Apple account). You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure and for activity under your Plenty account. You can delete your Plenty account at any time from the Profile tab (see Section 9).

03Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid access. Plenty’s capture features require a paid subscription, offered as auto-renewing monthly or annual plans. Prices and billing periods are shown in the app and in Google Play at the time of purchase.
  • Free trial. Where the app store determines you are eligible, new subscribers get a 3-day free trial. If you do nothing, the trial converts to a paid subscription and the store charges the displayed price. If notifications are enabled, Plenty schedules a courtesy reminder about 24 hours before the trial converts — the reminder is best-effort, and you remain responsible for cancelling in time. Users who are not trial-eligible (for example after a previous trial) are shown pricing without a trial.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal, per the store’s cancellation cut-off rules.
  • How to cancel. Cancel any time via Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions (the app’s “Manage subscription” link takes you there; on iOS, via App Store subscription settings). Uninstalling the app, clearing your data, or deleting your Plenty account does not cancel your subscription — billing is managed by the app store and must be cancelled there.
  • Refunds. Payments are processed by Google Play (or the App Store); refunds are governed by that store’s refund policy. We do not process payments ourselves. Statutory refund rights in your country are unaffected.
  • Billing problems. If a renewal payment fails, the store may grant a short grace period during which you keep access; if the issue is not resolved, access ends until payment succeeds.
  • Restoring purchases. If you reinstall or switch devices, use “Restore purchases” in the app with the same store account.
  • Price changes. If prices change, the store notifies you per its rules; changes apply from your next renewal.

04Fair use and acceptable use

AI parsing is metered to keep the service sustainable: currently up to 25 text/voice captures and 10 receipt-photo captures per rolling 24 hours per account. We may adjust these limits.

You agree not to:

  • circumvent rate limits, entitlement checks, or security controls;
  • probe, overload, or disrupt the service, or access another person’s data;
  • upload content that is unlawful or that you have no right to process;
  • use Plenty to process personal data of others without a lawful basis;
  • resell or provide the service to third parties, or scrape it;
  • reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly permits.

We may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules (Section 10).

05AI features — important disclaimer

Plenty is not a financial adviser. Summaries, categorisations, and AI-written insights are informational observations about data you logged. They are not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Do not rely on them for financial decisions; consult a qualified professional.

AI output can be wrong. The AI may misread an amount, currency, date, merchant, or category — especially from unclear receipts or ambiguous phrasing. Review every captured expense; you can edit or delete any record. You are responsible for the accuracy of records you keep or rely on.

Plenty is a record-keeping tool, not a system of record for tax or statutory bookkeeping.

06Your content

You own your expense data, notes, and receipt images. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to provide the service described in these terms and our Privacy Policy — including sending your inputs to our AI provider for parsing. We do not use your content to train AI models and we do not sell it.

You can export your expense history as JSON from the Profile tab at any time.

07Our intellectual property

The Plenty app, brand, design, and software are owned by the operator of Plenty or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on your devices for personal use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

08Service changes and availability

Plenty is under active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed. The app may receive over-the-air updates automatically. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; AI parsing depends on third-party providers and may be temporarily unavailable.

09Ending the agreement — by you

You may stop using Plenty at any time. Deleting your account in the Profile tab permanently erases your account and data as described in the Privacy Policy. Remember to also cancel your subscription in Google Play — account deletion does not stop store billing.

10Ending the agreement — by us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service or terminate without cause, we will give reasonable advance notice so you can export your data, and store refund rules apply to any unused paid period as per the store’s policy.

11Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of AI output.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from your use of the service.
  • Our total aggregate liability for claims arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example, liability for fraud, or your statutory consumer rights).

12Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and — subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live — the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use Plenty after that means you accept the updated terms.
